Welcome to Arbona Restaurant

A place created with love, on the edge of the old town of Rethymnon in Crete, on the coast side, serving specialties from the Mediterranean Sea and country side. At the exit of the old town to the sea, between the castle of Fortetsa and the Venetian port, on the sidewalk that connects the castle with the old port.
Fresh gastronomic approach focusing on Greek cuisine and raw materials from our place, enriched with ARBONA. The breeze that comes from the sea, giving coolness on the hot summer nights. Chef Minas Spirou creates dishes inspired by every season and always with respect to the richness of the mainland and the sea.

Overall very satisfied! We found this place just randomly walking around, location and style looked good so we sat for dinner. We had sea bass ceviche, grilled liver, carrot hummus and lamb as main. Everything was delicious! The lamb in particular was so tasty and nicely cooked. 2 glasses of wine and home made bread accompanied everything. To top it off we had chocolate cake and ice cream as dessert, also very tasty. Price was just fine and staff very very kind and accommodating. What a lovely find this was!

Absolute gem, we had a delicious dinner here, and everything we tried was really tasty (from the home made bread, to the carrot hummus, ceviche, grilled liver, lamb, chocolate dessert). Very friendly and fast service, lovely atmosphere, we only regret having discovered this place on our last days in Crete. Highly recommended!!

En road tour en Crete, nous avons notre deuxième jour à Rethymno. C’est très touristique avec ÉNORMÉMENT de restaurants, à un tel point qu’on ne sait plus où donner de la tête.

On a bêtement choisi le restaurant devant notre hôtel (d’ailleurs si vous êtes dans la même situation allez réserver avant vous aurez 10% de remise) : C’était vraiment excellent, il n’y a pas d’autres mots.
